What should I know about the Student Learning Center?

  • Walk-in tutoring services, no appointment necessary.
  • Free for all currently enrolled FTCC students.
  • Valid FTCC student ID is required to enroll.
  • One-on-one tutoring services with great instructors.
  • Computer stations to complete assignments and ask for assistance.
  • Study Rooms with whiteboards and smartboard computers.

Student learners who are enrolled in FTCC’s curriculum courses are able to use NetTutor Online Tutoring Service. English and Math are available 24/7. For additional subject areas check NetTutor’s online schedule. Access to NetTutor is available through student Canvas accounts. Further assistance is available by contacting the Student Learning Center.

  • BrainFuse Achieve your learning and career goals with our LIVE one-on-one academic coaching, practice test center, and online resources.
  • Khan Academy : Free video tutorials, as well as online practice in all subject areas.
  • HippoCampus : Free video tutorials in math, natural science, social science for middle school, high school, and college students.
  • TeacherTube : Teacher created videos. Browse by subject area.
  • PowerPoints : Presentations and links to sites with handouts in all content areas.
  • North West Internet Gateway for Adult Education : Online resources with links for math and language arts.
  • Wolfram Alpha Computational Intelligence : Provides access to the world's facts and data and calculates answers across a range of topics, including science and math. (May also be downloaded as an app on smartphones.)
