"The Dental Hygiene Program at Fayetteville Technical Community College is accredited by the Commission of Dental Accreditation (CODA). The Dental Hygiene curriculum prepares individuals with the knowledge and skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate dental hygiene care of the individual and the community. Students will learn to: apply preventative agents, clean teeth, complete necessary chart entries, note abnormalities, perform other procedures related to dental hygiene care, plan care, prepare the operatory, take patient histories, take x-rays, and teach oral hygiene."
